Jumeirah Group, the hotel management company that operates Dubai’s sail-shaped Burj Al Arab, is in talks to operate the Macka hotel in Istanbul’s upscale Nisantasi district. Jumeirah is negotiating with Macka’s owner Demsa Group, Demsa Chairman Cengiz Cetindogan said at a news conference in Istanbul. The announcement of the talks between Jumeirah and Demsa came as the two companies signed an agreement today for Jumeirah to operate the city’s historic Pera Palace hotel, which is also owned by Demsa.
