A dress from Lily Allen\'s vintage-inspired collection London - Arabstoday When Lily Allen puts her mind to something, there\'s no stopping her. One year on from announcing that she was going to put her music career on hold to launch her own vintage shop, Lucy in Disguise, she\'s come up with her very own clothing collection to stock in it. \"I\'ve always been into vintage - before I became a pop star it was all I ever wore,\" Allen told Vogue.com . \"After we\'d launched the shop, I think we both felt that we wanted to create vintage styles with more contemporary, clean lines.\" Fusing Lily and her business partner sister Sarah Owen\'s love of vintage clothes, the 18-piece collection is centred around the idea of the Lucy character taking a trip through several decades of fashion. Floor-length gowns and sequinned minidresses, in a plethora of contrasting colours, take Lucy from an afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason, to a romantic trip to Chicago. The sisters hope their range will curb the disappointing feeling, experienced all too often, when a one-off vintage treasure just won\'t fit: \"Vintage sizing can be quite irregular,\" said Owen. \"When we were buying clothes for the shop we saw so much that really nearly hit the nail on the head but not quite.\" The girls revealed how they are already working on the fourth collection, and with Lily\'s upcoming wedding to partner Sam Cooper, rumours that she is working on the score for the Bridget Jones musical - as well as the London store to keep a check over, we imagine it\'s going to be another very busy year for Ms Allen.
