UAE weather forecast.

UAE residents can expect some rain this week with "significant fall in temperatures", the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said. According to the authority, the country will be affected by "weather fluctuations" till Wednesday.

In its five-day weather bulletin, the NCM has predicted rain clouds, rain and winds with speeds of up to 45kmph till Wednesday. "The region will be under the extension of the Red Sea low pressure accompanied with a western upper air trough. A large amounts of clouds will flow from north and central Saudi Arabia towards the country at intervals," said the NCM.

By Saturday, rainy clouds were expected to have formed over the eastern and northern areas. "Rainy clouds will develop from Sunday to Tuesday over scattered areas, beginning westwards and along the coasts, before extending over the internal areas," the NCM added.

The cloud amounts will "decrease gradually" by Wednesday evening over most areas of the country. "Winds will freshen in convective clouds, causing blowing dust and sand, leading to poor horizontal visibility at times over the exposed areas. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea."

The NCM called for exercising caution while driving in the rainy weather. Residents have also been advised to take precautions when going to the beach because of the rough waves.

Recently, a truck driver died as his vehicle got swept away in flash floods after incessant rains in Ras Al Khaimah's Al Qur Valley. Three other SUVs were swept away in the same valley, but the authorities managed to rescue the drivers and retrieve the vehicles.
