Weather in Jordan.

Cloudy skies are expected on Thursday, but the weather will be pleasant across many parts of the Kingdom and moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with a chance for light showers in the eastern regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.

Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the southern and eastern areas of the country changing to southwesterly, the JMD added.

Maximum temperatures expected for today will reach 22 degrees Celsius in Amman, 21 in the northern cities and 23 in the southern governorates dropping down to 8,10 and 9 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 14 at night, the JMD added.

Mercury levels will slightly drop on Friday. Therefore, it will be cloudy with a chance for scattered rain in the southern, eastern and northern regions, accompanied by thunder at times. Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the southern and eastern areas, causing low visibility, the department noted.

A further drop in temperatures is forecast on Saturday, so it will be relatively cold and partly cloudy with scattered rain in the morning hours in the northern cities, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD said.
