Actress Karen Gillan ditches her mini-skirt for a dinner suit and eye-patch in Saturday’s Doctor Who finale. But Karen complained of not feeling sexy in the sober two-piece she wears in the “freakishly and mind-bendingly weird” episode of the show. “Looking like a bloke from the neck down is not my idea of  sexy,” the 23-year-old said. “Give me one of Amy’s leg-revealing mini-skirts and I’m a much happier girl.” In the last episode of this series of the drama the Doctor, played by Matt Smith, and Amy return to Lake Silencio. As the Doctor, pictured right with a more conventionally attired Amy, confronts his own death, all will be revealed – including why Amy is sporting Madame Kovarian’s eye-patch. Meanwhile, the Inverness-born actress credited her stunt double Stephanie Carey with making Amy an action hero. She said: “Stephanie is a fearless, talented woman, without whom we wouldn’t have the amazing shots of Amy being flung across a pirate ship, or flipping through space.” Stephanie said: “Cuts and bruises are part of the job. One stunt was a ‘jerk back’, Amy flying backwards. “I wore a special vest with a wire, which the team pulled with such force I was jerked back 20ft.
