Warner Bros Abu Dhabi will include 29 rides, shows

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is on schedule to open next year as testing for all 29 rides is almost complete.
Miral, the Abu Dhabi government-backed company bringing the indoor theme park to the capital, said delivery and installation of rides had already begun. Once complete, it will include shows, interactive attractions, shops selling Warner Bros merchandise, and restaurants.
"We are very excited to be announcing the number of rides, shows and attractions for Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi," said Mohammed Al Zaabi, chief executive officer of Miral. "We’re very delighted to see the park coming together and on track for the 2018 launch. Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi marks an important step in the development of Yas Island as a complete leisure and entertainment destination, and we can’t wait to share it with the world."
Park ‘theming’ to bring together superheroes and super-villains from the DC Universe, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as animated characters from Warner Bros such as Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry is under way at the 1.65 million square feet park.
The theme park comes as part of Yas Island’s aim to attract 48 million annual visits by 2022.
Miral’s Yas Island attractions include Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, climbing destination Clymb, due to open next year, and the recently announced SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, opening in 2022.
Last year, Dubai opened IMG Worlds of Adventure, billed as the world’s largest indoor theme park, and the Dubai Parks and Resorts, a multi-park featuring Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and Legoland Dubai.
