Syria's President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview released Thursday that US reporter Marie Colvin, who was killed in alleged government fire in 2012, was "responsible" for her own death. 

Assad replied "of course" when asked if Colvin was responsible for her death in shelling of the rebel-held city of Homs, though he denied in the interview with NBC News that his forces had targeted her directly.
