Johnny Depp was hit with a restraining order on Friday after his wife appeared in court with a black eye, accusing the Oscar-nominated star of assaulting her, an official told AFP.

"The judge issued a restraining order against Depp," the official told AFP adding that Amber Heard showed up at the hearing with bruises to her face.
