German auto giant Volkswagen said Wednesday it expects to face "considerable financial charges" from legal risks related to the massive pollution-cheating scandal it is currently embroiled in.
VW, which has already set aside 6.7 billion euros ($7.4 billion) in provisions in the third quarter to cover the initial costs of the scandal, said in its interim report that, in addition, "considerable financial charges may be incurred as legal risks crystallise."
