Wall Street stocks opened higher Thursday as strong US growth data helped to extend a global rally led by big gains in Chinese markets.

About four minutes into trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.30 percent. The broad-based S&P 500 gained 1.33 percent, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 1.48 percent.
