Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras arrived in Brussels for an emergency eurozone summit Monday ruling out pension cuts, higher power rates, and excessive budget surpluses in a deal with the debt-swamped country's creditors.

"We're here to conclude a viable economic accord," Tsipras said ahead of talks with Greece's creditors, the European Union, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund. A statement issued by Tsipras's office said the "keys to such an accord" included "abandoning excessive primary (budget) surpluses, protecting salaries and pensions, avoiding excessive and unreasonable hikes in electricity (prices)."
