Tokyo stocks soared more than five percent in opening trade on Thursday after diving the previous day on Donald Trump's shock win of the US presidency, as global stocks and the dollar rallied. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index, which plummeted 5.4 percent on Wednesday, shot up 5.14 percent, or 835.50 points, to 17,087.04 in the first minutes of trade. |
