S&P

The S&P 500 shot to an all-time intraday record in opening trade Monday, as Wall Street shrugged off worries over slow global growth and volatile markets.

Three minutes into trade, the S&P 500 was at 2,137.03, about two and a half points above the all-time high set more than one year ago. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4 percent to 18,220.36, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 0.5 percent to 4,982.79.
