London's stock market plunged by more than 3.0 percent on Tuesday, mirroring losses in Frankfurt and Paris, with sentiment hit by poor manufacturing data in China and Europe.

In early afternoon deals, London's FTSE 100 index of leading companies was down 3.16 percent at 6,050.39 points.
