Japan's economy expanded a revised 0.3 percent in the last quarter of 2016, government data showed Wednesday, compared with a 0.2 percent preliminary estimate, as company investments propped up growth.

The latest figure was slightly higher than the initial estimate of 0.2 percent growth in the October-December period, but lower than market expectations of 0.4 percent.
