Greek crisis

Banks in Greece, which have been closed since June 29, will reopen on Monday with daily withdrawals still capped at 60 euros ($65), the deputy finance minister said.

"From Monday, citizens can go to the bank counters and make any kind of transaction," Dimitris Mardas told ERT public television on Thursday.

The announcement came after the European Central Bank, which has been keeping Greek lenders afloat, said it would increase the level of emergency funding for the country's cash-strapped banks.
