Germany's blue-chip DAX 30 index fell by more than 3.0 percent in late afternoon trade, pulled down by disappointing economic growth figures in the United States, traders said.

At around 1425 GMT, the DAX was showing a loss of 3.19 percent at 11,433.11 points.
