Frankfurt's DAX 30 stock index surged over 3 percent during afternoon trading Wednesday, with investors encouraged by renewed exchanges between Greece and creditors pushing gains over three percent.
After posting significant losses Monday and Tuesday as talks between Greece and creditors broke off and Athens neared missing a debt payment to the International Monetary Fund, the DAX 30 rose 3.06 percent to 11, 279.86 points at 1406 GMT Wednesday on news Greek authorities had offered up amended reform proposals.
