Chinese shares dropped by more than three percent in morning trade Tuesday, extending falls that have put markets into bear territory.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 3.10 percent, or 125.60 points, to 3,927.43. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slumped 4.92 percent, or 115.76 points, to 2,235.64.
