China's second-quarter GDP growth was steady at 6.7 percent, the government said Friday, suggesting stability in the world's second-largest economy.

"The national economy has achieved moderate but steady and sound development," the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, adding it was "confident" that its annual growth target could be achieved.
