British finance minister George Osborne on Monday dismissed as "complete fantasy" the belief that Britain could negotiate an advantageous trade deal with the European Union if it voted to leave.

"It's a complete fantasy to believe there is some other deal," Osborne said as he outlined the main findings of a 200-page report compiled by the Treasury on the possible consequences of a so-called Brexit.
