Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday that Beijing does not engage in cyber hacking and nor does it support it, rejecting allegations to the contrary.

"China is a staunch defender of cybersecurity," he said in a speech in Seattle, adding he was ready to work closely with Washington on the issue.
