US President Donald Trump has asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to cut off China's crude oil supplies to North Korea, US Ambassador Nikki Haley said Wednesday.

Trump told the Chinese leader in a telephone conversation earlier in the day "that we have come to the point that China must cut off the oil from North Korea," Haley told the Security Council.
