Spain's Princess Cristina

Spain's Princess Cristina took the stand on Thursday at her accessory to tax evasion trial in a landmark corruption case centred on her husband´s business dealings.

Cristina, who has denied knowledge of her husband Inaki Urdangarin's activities, is the first Spanish royal to face criminal charges since the monarchy's 1975 restoration. The couple went on trial along with 15 others in January at a court in Palma in the island of Mallorca.
