Vladimir Putin on Saturday thanked Russia's key WWII allies in World War II -- the United States, Britain and France -- for helping crush Nazi Germany as he presided over a huge parade marking Victory Day amid a Western boycott.
"We are grateful to the people of Great Britain, France and the United States for their contribution to victory," Putin said at the beginning of the parade, also thanking those who fought against the Nazis in other countries including Germany.
