Cairo - Arab Today
The Egyptian government on Saturday submitted its resignation to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the presidency said, days after the agriculture minister was arrested over corruption.
"The prime minister (Ibrahim Mahlab) handed the government's resignation to the president who accepted," a statement said without giving a reason for the resignation.
It said Mahlab was asked to stay on as caretaker prime minister until a new government is formed.
