A Palestinian woman who was shot at an Israeli army checkpoint in the West Bank after allegedly trying to stab a soldier died of her wounds Tuesday, her father said.

"She was martyred half an hour ago," Salaheddin al-Hashlamon told AFP. The death of his 18-year-old daughter Hadeel al-Hashlamon was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem where she was taken.
