Smoke rises near an Afghan military base

Medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said Saturday an "aerial attack" killed three of its staff in the embattled Afghan city of Kunduz, with more than 30 others still unaccounted for.

"At 2:10 am local time... the MSF trauma centre in Kunduz was hit several times during sustained bombing and was very badly damaged," it said in a statement.
