Ryanair pilots based in Ireland will strike on December 20, Irish union Impact said Tuesday, in protest over conditions at the no-frills airline beset by a wave of flight cancellations.

Directly-employed pilots belonging to the union voted in favour of industrial action by 94 percent to six percent in ballots over the last week.
