India's economy grew 7.3 percent in the third quarter of the financial year, official data showed on Monday, slightly beating analysts' expectations.

The year-on-year expansion in gross domestic product for the three months to end-December beat the 7.1 percent median estimate forecast by economists in a Bloomberg survey.
