President Francois Hollande arrived Tuesday at the White House for talks with his US counterpart Barack Obama on how to confront the Islamic State group in the wake of the Paris attacks.

The French and US leaders were to hold a joint press conference following their meeting, part of a frantic week of shuttle diplomacy by Hollande to rally global support to fight IS.
