Foreign IS fighters 'not allowed' to leave Raqa

Foreign jihadists with the Islamic State group will not be allowed to leave their former bastion Raqa along with Syrian fighters, the US-led coalition said Saturday.

In an emailed statement to AFP, the coalition said about 100 IS fighters had surrendered in Raqa over the past 24 hours and were subsequently removed from the city.

"Foreign fighters are not being allowed to leave Raqa," it said.
