Belgian judicial authorities will decide later Thursday whether the prime suspect in the Paris attacks Salah Abdeslam will be extradited to France, prosecutors said.

"The federal prosecutor will announce the decision tonight" after a hearing on the French application for his extradition, a spokesman for the federal prosecutor's office said.

Abdeslam's lawyer Cedric Moisse said he expected the demand would be approved as his client had consented to extradition and said he would cooperate with French authorities.
