Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday inaugurated the third bridge over Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait linking the continents of Europe and Asia.

"Are you ready?" Erdogan asked a flag-waving crowd of spectators before cutting the ribbon on the widest suspension bridge in the world. He later was driven across in a bus flanked by a heavy security convoy.
