At least 34 people were killed in a multiple-vehicle accident in northern Peru involving three buses and a truck, Health Minister Anibal Velasquez said Monday
At least 70 more were wounded, Velasquez told local radio, adding that he would travel to the crash site near the coastal city of Huarmey, about 300 kilometers (185 miles) north of Lima.
Earlier, authorities had said 22 had died.
