One person was killed on Wednesday when armed individuals tried to attack the police headquarters in Istanbul and Turkish security forces opened fire in response, reports said.
One assailant was killed but an accomplice escaped in the clash, which came a day after a top prosecutor was killed in a hostage drama, the Dogan news agency reported.
