Egyptian tour guide, Ahmed Mohammed confirmed that fishing is one of the most important sorts of tourist attractions, especially water fishing trips in Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Matruh, and Arab tourists prefer this activity, where they have the chance to know fishes species and learn new ways of fishing.
He said in a statement to “Arab Today” that, these trips usually happen on small yachts that have all supplies. These trips are approved by Coast Guards and have their schedule and proper environment. Some foreign and Arab countries witness increase in this type of tourism such as, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Bahrain, Emirates, Mexico, Cuba, Uruguay, Philippines, which is known for its rare fishes species, Thailand and Indonesia.
Mohammed said tourists are interested in Egypt for its unique location, where groups come every year to dive and to catch fishes, adding that, Arab countries should build nature reserves for fishes where they will be safer, and these reserves can be used as tourist sites to increase hard currencies.
