Sources denied what was published over the refusal of Lebanese singer Najwa Karam to perform a singing duet with Singer Melhem Zein during a concert in Ehden, saying that Karam decided to cancel her participation in the concert for other reasons that are not related to Melhem Zein.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the concert was cancelled because of health conditions of its organizer and the failure to sell enough ticket to cover the high costs of the concert. They denied that the producer asked Karam to sing with Zein for free, describing what was published in this regard as unfounded rumors.
The sources continued that the singer has not signed any contracts, saying that what was published aims to drive a wedge between Karam and Zein, saying that the two singers enjoy good relations.
