Veteran Egyptian actor Muhammad Sobhi announced for the second time his refusal to be the Minister of Culture, after the news of his nomination for the post in the new government of Dr Kamal El-Ganzouri. Sobhi was nominated before for the same position in the government of Dr. Essam Sharaf. Sobhi believes that the role of the artist is bigger, more important, and more authentic than the role of any politician, and he preferred to remain as an actor because he respected his art, and it would satisfy him. In addition to his art, he believed in working on the project of \"Billion for the slums\". Sobhi emphasised that he did not object to Ganzouri\'s new role as it was a salvation government. Regarding the first phase of parliamentary elections held a few days ago in nine Egyptian governorates, Sobhi said that his grief and pain recently ended at the first real democratic election after the Egyptian revolution, as one of the first indicators of the success of the revolution, declaring that it was the first time in his life he cast his vote.
