Russian Defense Ministry announced Tuesday the town of Taldou in Homs province as a combat-free zone in Syria, after reaching an agreement with armed opposition to reduce tension there.
According to Russia Today, the ministry said in a statement that national accord committees will remain in areas of low tension to work on making the environment suitable to start restoring damaged public facilities, which hold social significance in Syria.
The Russian reconciliation center is cooperating with lands committee in Aleppo province for the safe return of displaced people to their homes, the ministry explained.
It underlined that 116 displaced families have already returned back to their homes in northern Aleppo.
