Four citizens were killed and some 30 others wounded in attacks with mortars that terrorists fired Wednesday on Damascus neighborhoods.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that terrorists fired mortar shells on al-Shaalan neighborhood in Damascus, claiming the lives of 4 citizens and injuring 22 others.
Two other shells landed in the vicinity of the Umayyad Square in the heart of Damascus, wounding five citizens and causing material damage, according to the source.
Three mortar shells, moreover, hit the Sheraton Hotel Park, inflicting material damage.
Meanwhile, two shells hit the area surrounding al-Azmah Square, wounding 3 citizens, said the source.
No casualties were reported in an attack with two mortar shells that fell near al-Abbasiyeen Stadium.
