Chairman of the Arab Parliament Ahmad bin Mohamed al Jarwan called for immediate action to stop bloodletting in the war-torn Syria.
In a statement on Monday, Jarwan said that the situation in Syria reflected the international community's deliberate silence over the escalation of violence in Syria and its grave repercussions.
He further underlined the flagrant violations of human rights and international law in Syria, citing the use of heavy weapons, aerial bombardment and barrel bomb attacks.
Shame on the world countries that claim to respect human rights and are keeping silent on violations against children, enforced disappearance, arbitrary detention and torture, blocking humanitarian aid and destroying and besieging hospitals in Syria, Jarwan said.
