The total number of inhabited Syrian areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 179, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria reported.

Negotiations on joining the ceasefire are ongoing with field commanders of armed opposition detachments active in the Damascus, Rif Dimashq and Homs provinces, Russia Today TV quoted the center as saying in a press release published by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has not exceeded 61, it said.

The ceasefire has been observed in most Syrian provinces. Within last 24 hours, 4 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Damascus province.
