More than 50 Algerian and Arab artists, including special guests, are to give concert Monday evening in Constantine, in tribute to the late Diva Warda El Djazaira, Manager of the National Culture and Information Office (ONCI), Lakhdar Bentorki said Saturday.
Bentorki told a news conference jointly held with Commissioner of "Constantine, capital of Arab culture 2015" event, Sami Bencheikh El Hocine, that these artists will perform the great masterpieces of the Diva of Arabic song, accompanied by an orchestra of musicians from Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia, under the guidance of maestro Bessam Beddour.
Citing singer Sabah Fakhri and composer Helmi Bakr among the guests of honour, Bentorki said the services of the ONCI, organizer of the evening, are working to "settle the remaining technical and organizational details of the mega concert".
The mega concert will be see the participation of Arab artists, including Tunisian Saber Ribai, Lebanese Wael Jassar, Iraqi Reda Abdallah, Syrian Rouaida Atiyah, Jordanian Diana Karazoun and Moroccan Houda Saad alongside Algerian artists including Zakia Mohamed, Nada Rayhan and Toufik El Yousfi.
The manager of the ONCI also said many national and Arab stars, from the arts and culture sectors, present the 8th Oran's International Film Festival (FIOFA), will be attending that event to he hosted by Ahmed Bey Auditorium.
