The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) announced Monday the death and injury of 720 civilian Iraqis during the month of April 2017.
UNAMI said in a statement that a total of 317 Iraqi civilians were killed and other 403 were injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in April 2017.
According to the statement, Ninewa was the most affected Governorate, with 276 casualties (153 killed, 123 injured). Baghdad Governorate followed with 55 killed and 179 injured, and Salah Al-Din had 15 killed and 43 injured.
In March 2017, UNAMI announced the death and injury of over 1100 Iraqis.
