Iraqi F-16 fighter jets on Saturday launched eight airstrikes against sites and depots belonging to Daesh terrorist group in Rawa and al Qa’im towns in western Anbar, the Iraqi military's War Media Cell said in a statement.
The sorties resulted in killing tens of Daesh terrorists in addition to destroying a weapons depot, two headquarters for the terrorist group and four hotbeds, the Iraqi news agency reported, citing the statement.
Separately, a security source said an explosive device went off near the industrial neighborhood in northern Baghdad, leaving three civilians wounded.
A security force cordoned off the area, he said, adding that the injured were taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.
