Iraqi forces launched a wide-scale military operation against Daesh militants in Salah El-Din and Diyala provinces.
In exclusive statements to AlSumaria TV, Commander of the Tigris Operations Mazhar al Azzawi said that the Iraqi army and police personnel, the People's Mobilization Forces (PMF) and chieftains participated in the military operation.
The operation aims at mopping up Daesh pockets in Salah El-Din and Diyala provinces, Azzawi said.
Security forces also managed to dismantle five explosive devices since the beginning of the offensive, he added.
