Libya
Tripoli - Arab Today

At least 15 people have been killed and 27 others injured since clashes broke out between the Libyan army and the fighters of the pro-Islamist Adjabiya Revolutionaries’ Shoura Council (ARSC), medics said on Saturday.

One of the those killed was said to be local municipal councilor Abdulmonem Haron, who was close to the clashes. He was shot apparently by a stray bullet.

Health sources complained lack of medical supplies in some of Ajdabiya's hospitals.

The fighting in Adjabiya started on Wednesday when a member of Al-Sharia, part of ARSC, was accused of murdering a local man outside a mosque. Salafist youths quickly joined the fight which then spread, local media reported.
