U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the terrorist bombing that took place Monday at a hospital in Quetta, Pakistan, noting that the targeting of mourners at a civilian hospital made the attack "particularly appalling."
The deputy spokesman for the U.N. Secretary General Farhan Haq said that the U.N. chief urged the Pakistani government to do its utmost to ensure the safety of the population and bring to justice the perpetrators of the attack.
He added that the U.N. Secretary General offered his condolences to the families of the victims, wished the injured a speedy recovery and expressed his solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
