At least eight people were killed and dozens injured in a powerful explosion on Lahore's police headquarters on Tuesday, Dawn news reported.
The blast took place near the main gate of Police Lines in Lahore's Qila Gujjar Singh area. According to preliminary reports, it took place in a vehicle parked in the area, however, there are some unverified reports that it was carried out by a suicide bomber.
This attack happens days after a deadly attack of Taliban in Peshawar city of Pakistan that left 21 people killed and over 50 others injured.
On Friday a group of five-six insurgents armed with weapons and bombs attacked an Imambargah in Hayatabad area of Peshawar city at the time hundreds of people had gathered to offer Friday prayers.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) later claimed responsibility for the attack.
